    Althorp Food and Drink Festival, Althorpe House, Northampton NN74HE
    Taking place on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of May 2019, the Althorp Food and Drink Festival is a weekend that promises something for everyone to taste, see and experience, from veteran food lovers to kids both big and small. Cookery demonstrations, tastings, masterclasses and talks from various Celebrity Chefs; Jean-Christophe Novelli and Ken Hom OBE, alongside a hive of activities to keep both children and adults entertained, ensuring a perfect weekend for both family and friends. Above all else, the Althorp Food and Drink Festival will provide an opportunity to become better acquainted with the thriving and increasingly renowned local food and drink industry.

    Cromer Crab Festival, Evington Lawns, Cromer
    Our crab and lobster festival is a lively weekend celebration of two fine North Norfolk coastal towns, Cromer & Sheringham. Historically great rivals, but now joining together as two of Norfolk's premier seaside destinations. The festival is dedicated to promoting our local seafaring heritage and active fishing community. The fun starts on Friday night with a traditional seaside variety concert at the Famous Pier Pavilion Theatre in Cromer and continues over the weekend on Evington Lawns in Cromer. The festival celebrates local restaurants, chefs, crafts, chutney’s, jams, cakes, charcuterie and so much more. Come and experience all that the Norfolk Norfolk Coast has to offer.

    Beccles Food Festival, Beccles Town Centre, Suffolk
    Celebrating it’s 5th year, the popular Beccles Food and Drink Festival is returning in 2019 to tantalise the taste buds. The free event, set for Saturday 25th May, will showcase over 70 food and drink stalls, many of them local artisan producers, as well as those from further afield in East Anglia. As well as many stalls which have supported the event from the start, new traders to feature include those making artisan Scotch eggs, Greek Cypriot skewers, Suffolk gin and vodka, and bacon relish, mayonnaise and mustard. Based in the centre of the vibrant market town around New Market, Sheepgate, in St Michael’s Church and the Public Hall, the Festival runs from 10 am till 4 pm and will include cookery demonstrations and talks, street food, music and children’s entertainment. A free Park & Ride shuttle service will run throughout the event from Beccles Quay, where additional parking will be available. Building on the successful formula of previous years, some new and exciting features, including Fringe events at some food and drink venues in the local area from the 18th May to the 2nd June, are planned.

    Bury St Edmunds Whitsun Fayre is a gardener’s utopia. For two days on the last bank holiday weekend in May the town centre is transformed into a sea of colour with plant, flower and home produce stalls, and the popular urban beach.

    The Suffolk Show (in the Food Hall), Ipswich. IP38UH
    The Suffolk Show is organised by the Suffolk Agricultural Association and is part of their 187 year history. The show is the largest two-day visitor experience in the county. It was previously staged at different venues around Suffolk, until in 1960 when it moved to its permanent site in Ipswich, where it still is today. The Suffolk Show is a unique celebration of everything that makes the county great and showcases the best of Suffolk’s food, farming and agricultural heritage.

    Market Harborough Carnival, Symingtons Recreation Ground LE167DS
    Carnival Parade Starts at 10.45am (note earlier time from previous years). The Parade starts from Burnmill Road and takes its usual route - taking in High Street, Coventry Road, Welland Park Road and St Mary’s Road before arriving at Symington’s Recreation Ground at around noon. Showground - Symington’s Rec, off St Mary’s Road, will be packed with stalls, entertainment, street food and drink until 9pm. Cost: £2 per adult, £1 per child or £5 for a family ticket.

    In 2019 we aim to have over sixty stalls filling Market Hill and St Peter’s Church with a wonderful selection of top quality food and drink. On the main stage we will be welcoming a range of Suffolk’s very best chefs and bakers, inside St Peter’s Church you can watch cooking demos going on throughout the day and we hope to see the return of our fabulous Fringe Tent where talks will be held on a range of subjects.

    Etheldreda Food and Craft Fair, Palace Green, Ely
    The annual Etheldreda Craft and Food Fair takes place on Palace Green, surrounded by the splendour of Ely Cathedral and The Old Palace - two of Ely's magnificent historic buildings. An entertaining day for the whole family, the fair includes a selection of over 40 tempting stalls featuring crafts, local foods, jewellery, plants, gifts and summer produce. In keeping with the tradition of this well established country fair, visitors will have the opportunity try their luck on the tombola and test their aim on the coconut shy as well as enjoying a Pimm's and strawberries and cream on the lawns in front of the Cathedral. This along with Strawberries and Cream, Champagne and Pimms all add to a great day out in Ely. All profits from the fair go to the Ely Cathedral Choir Tour Fund.

    The Show is organised by a dedicated team who work throughout the year developing ideas and managing and co-ordinating the various areas of the show.     The third Grove Cottage Food and Drink Festival will take place on Sunday 7 July at Sworders Field, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2AY, from 11am – 4pm and will feature numerous food and drink stalls, live music, an inflatable bar and chill out area to enjoy the food and much more!     Holkham Country Show
    This year, north Norfolk’s hugely popular biennial weekend Country Fair will be returning to Holkham park, celebrating all thing good and great about the countryside - land, sea, and sky. Expect high octane entertainment in the Grand Ring, hundreds of trade stands to impress even the most dedicated shopper, a Food Village filled with tasty treats, a Cookery Demonstration Theatre showcasing local Norfolk talents and showground events to take part in or simply watch and get inspired. It is going to be a jam-packed weekend. This year’s Grand Ring boasts an impressive line-up including two new displays taking to the centre stage; Atkinson Action Horses and Aerobatics from Steve Carver. The event will also see the return of the Household Cavalry Musical Ride as well as CJ’s Bird of Prey, the Mounted Games of Great Britain and Allcomers’ Dog Racing.

    Bury St Edmunds Food Festival
    Foodies will love the two day Bury St Edmunds Food and Drink Festival held on August Bank Holiday weekend. With an annual line-up of cooking demonstrations from top celebrity chefs, the chance to taste and purchase food and drink from over 100 stalls and a popular farmer’s market, this is a foodie’s heaven. There’s also lots to keep the children occupied with the ever popular man-made beach, fairground rides, street entertainment, and a mini farm. This year two of the nation’s favourite celebrity chefs will appear at the festival. Nick Nairn who’s been a familiar face on our TV screens for nearly 25 years and Dean Edwards who became a household name cooking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’ will both be making their first appearances at the free two day event over August Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday. They will each make three appearances in the Stoves Cookery Theatre, which will also showcase dishes from some of Bury’s favourite restaurants. Turning up the heat in the kitchen on Sunday August 25 is Nick Nairn, a champion of Scottish cuisine as a chef, cookery school owner and food campaigner. His TV credits include: ‘Ready Steady Cook’; ‘Wild Harvest’; ‘Great British Menu’ and ‘Saturday Kitchen’ as well as many more. His first restaurant saw him become Scotland’s youngest Michelin-starred chef in 1991.
